Parent Testimonial – The Jones Family

PHCA has been a phenomenal school for my family. I have four children who attend PHCA. One in high school, one in middle school, one in elementary, and one in preschool. PHCA has been more than just a school for my children. It has become a family and a huge support.

In September 2014, my husband was diagnosed with cancer, which led to us taking trips to St. Louis for treatment every other week. This carried on until April 2015, when he passed away. During that time, the kids continued going to PHCA, where the faculty and families supported us in numerous ways. Since then, as the years have passed, each of my children have gone through waves of intense grief. The teachers and staff have invested in and cared for my children in ways that only a mom would dream of. You can’t put a price on the love my children have experienced at PHCA.

Academically, the teachers really want my children to succeed. I have experienced the staff going above and beyond to provide opportunities for my children to do well in the classes. Since the classes are small, each child is able to get the attention needed, especially in subjects they may be struggling in. They also provide incentives for the older kids to keep and maintain high GPA’s. The counselor communicates well in passing along information about different programs available for the high schoolers to get involved in.

While academics are very important, the school puts a lot of emphasis on building godly character into the students. I feel like the staff and I are on the same team, working towards the same goal, in preparing these children to be followers of Christ. My children are not just numbers in the building, but little souls that are cared for by the teachers and staff. I am forever grateful for PHCA.

I feel like the staff and I are on the same team, working towards the same goal, in preparing these children to be followers of Christ.
