Parent Testimonial-The Briggs Family
My wife and I have three daughters. As young parents we knew it was very important for our children to have a biblically-based education. We knew our children would be greatly influenced by the 40 + hours a week they spent with people other than their family throughout their school career. We knew we’d have to place our trust in God no matter what decision we made for them, be it public school, homeschool or private school.
We started our daughters off at Plaza Heights Christian academy for preschool and pre-K and were very pleased with it. However, as our situation changed and finances got tighter, we made the decision to take them out and put them in public school. This decision proved to have a far less than desirable outcome. We spent that year in a lot of prayer. The next year we decided to homeschool, and this decision also proved to not be ideal for us at the time.
We then decided to do whatever possible to make sure they could get back in Plaza Heights. There they receive the loving, caring and nurturing educational atmosphere which allows them to thrive. I began to pull more hours at work and God opened opportunities for side jobs and other avenues of income in order to make this financially possible. Plaza also did everything within their power to ease this financial burden. Without their loving and generous support our attendance would not have been feasible.
My wife and I knew as long as we were in the area, we would never want our girls anywhere else. Of course, Plaza Heights and it’s staff aren’t perfect, nor are we and we would never expect that. We have had some ups and downs; however, every situation gets addressed not only according to the existing rules and regulations but most importantly with prayer and supplication to God. I know I can trust that the best interest of my children and the other children at this School are the staff’s primary concern.
My Family and I have developed friendships with many people at Plaza Heights (parents and staff alike) that will last a lifetime. We could not be more grateful for the time and experiences we’ve had at Plaza Heights Christian Academy.
