A Message From Our PTF

Greetings Plaza Heights Families!

On behalf of the Plaza Heights PTF, we are so excited to welcome all our new and returning families to the 2022-23 school year! We are energized to be getting back into the swing of things. With your help, we look forward to supporting the teachers and staff at PHCA through our many events such as: Grandparents Day, Cornhole Tournament, Trivia Night, and Basket Bonanza just to name a few!

To help make this a year one that our students and staff never forget, please consider becoming a PTF member as well as attending our various events throughout the year. The success of our fundraisers will directly impact the number of programs that return and the new ones we launch! For more information on how to give or become a member, please print our PTF membership form and turn in to the office. Joining PTF is easy, and it really makes a difference!

Finally, we hope you consider getting involved! The more parents and loved ones who contribute their time and talents, the stronger and more connected our school community grows. Whether it’s a one-time commitment or a signature event, we have the perfect job for you! Please reach out to Heather at jamhblum@hotmail.com if you would like to volunteer or have any questions.

Sincerely,

PTF Board

Upcoming PTF Events/Information

There’s only four more weeks of school and it is a busy one! We have several events that we are needing volunteers for, opportunities at school and things you can do from your home.

  1. May 8-12th is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week! PTF will put on a week of activities for them including breakfast, catered lunch and school supplies restock.  If you are interested in helping with this, please contact Jami Jones jamijonesy@gmail.com.  You can also help by purchasing some of our staffs favorite school supplies to give out on one of the days- https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1VC97PEMTBL58.  Or check out our staff favorites spreadsheet for ideas to give specifically to your child’s teacher https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15ddh6x6U-uc3oEgdxAg7Gc-AjxLlgQPJqqTgGYLS_ns/edit.

  2. May 11th State Sports Lockers: We need 3 people to create signs for our athletes lockers (track, soccer, baseball).  We can hang these as early as May 8th, as late as May 11th.

  3. May 18th, Pastries with Parents, 7:30-9a.:  we need 2-3 adults to assist our committee lead in setup and running of this event.

  4. May 18th, 12:15-3:15pm, Field Day: this year’s Field Day will take place earlier than usual. We 3 need adults to help run our drink, snack and first aid tent.  We do have a licensed nurse that will be running the first aid. *Note: no water wars this year.

  5. May 21st, 6-7pm Graduation reception: set up, serving and clean up
